A DC government job would be very similar in the day-to-day responsibilities to a private sector job. Whether you are an administrative assistant, construction foreman, your responsibilities would largely be the same. The only difference is that you would be directly involved in supporting your community through your work, would have all the benefits and access to federal programs, all national holidays off, and several more incentives.
